Conference Pear

It is an autumn variety of the European pear developed in Britain. It is medium sized with an elongated bottle. The fruit skin is thick greenish-brown, becoming pale yellow when ripe. The flesh is white, but turns pale yellow when the pear is ripe. The texture is very fine and soft, and the flavour is sweet.

Fruits are usually mid-size or small, with the average mass: 25–30g, egg-shaped or spindle-shaped. The peel is navy blue with a wax tarnish. The flesh is of yellow color, is firm, succulent, very tasty. The flesh is easily separated from the seed. An excellent variety both for baking as well as for direct consumption.

High-bush blueberries have only millimetres in diameter but with a flared crown at the end they could be called royalty of forests. When ripe they are dark purple in colour, covered in a protective coating of powdery epicuticular wax, colloquially known as the "bloom". They have a sweet taste when with variable acidity.
